Stone used on high traffic applications like these requires product that is tough and durable; it also needs to be easy to clean and maintain and above all – safe to walk on. In addition to these qualities, natural stone provides excellent surfaces for people using wheel chairs or pushing luggage trolleys or wheeling suitcases.
Natural stone has these qualities! Stone is increasing popular for indoor use for its beauty, but also because it provides very practical surfaces as well. Modern sealants have made stone stain resistant and lowered cleaning and maintenance costs.
Bluestone, slate, granite, quartzite and limestone are all excellent indoor materials. Many pet owners and allergy sufferers use natural stone in their homes by preference not just because rooms stay cooler in summer.
