Indian Pink Autumn Slate - Hallway
The pink Autumn slate in the residential hallway below had just been laid when the photo was taken. The slate floor is in an unsealed state. It was left until the grout had completely cured before sealing was commenced.
In most cases a surface sealer is used on indoor slate applications. This leaves a tough satin finish protective layer that enhances the matural colours of the slate giving a "wet look" finish. This type of treatment makes cleaning and maintenance very easy.
The same slate was used in the kitchen. Once again the image below is of a yet to be sealed floor.
