Sandstone Wall Cladding - An Affordable Option
Sandstone is a very affordable way of making a wall an attractive feature when landscaing a modern home or apartment. Imagine the walls in these images made of concrete or besser brick?
Australian sandstones cost $180 per metre; this cladding sells for less than half!
The sandstone used on the path in the image on the right matches the wall cladding exactly - a seemless entrance to a modern seaside unit development.

Willow Sandstone - No Stone More Natural 
Sandstone is about as natural as any building material can be.
A measure of the environmental credentials of a building product is the involvement by man and process up to the point where it is fixed to a building.
On that basis this stone is a clear winner. Unlike Australian sandstones, this stone cleaves or splits quite naturally when hit with a chisel and doesn't need expensive machinery to saw or cut it.
