Glendyne Slate Quarry - Most Modern in the World
The Glendyne slate quarry is located at St-Marc-du-Lac-Long in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is one of the world's most impressively managed roofing slate quarries with a wonderfully effective quality management system. They adopt a very strict OH&S policy to protect their workers and their ultra-strong packing crates are manufactured on the property from timber cut in the surrounding forest.
Slate Roof Restoration - Glendyne Slate Ideal
The slate is blue/black in colour and contains no pyrites or visible metallic intrusions. This roof slate is relatively new to Australia but they have been selling shiploads of it to Europe and the UK where it has been used for many years without any recorded problems. The slate is ideal for restoration work on buildings with suitable roof pitches.
