GRANITE

FLOORING TILES AND OUTDOOR PAVERS

Genuine granite contains quartz, mica, and feldspar, but in the stone trade granite refers to almost any igneous rock that can take a polish. The colour and texture of granite depends on the minerals in the stone and the rate at which it is cooled.

Bellstone offers three varieties of Granite: Wildwood (honed finish), Silver Grey (flamed finish) and Light Grey (flamed finish). Polished granites have gone off the boil in recent years but honed granites like other honed stone tiles are very much in vogue for foyers, living areas, kitchens, and bathrooms.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT GRANITE

Granite has a well-earned reputation for toughness and easy maintenance, which is why real estate agents love to highlight the old granite benchtop in their listings. Such accolades do not come easily and reflect the strength and density of the stone.Granite’s other famous traits are low porosity and water absorption – the twins of benchtop durability and ease of maintenance. Granite offers great flexibility because of these traits in both indoor and outdoor areas. Its great strength is its suitability in wet areas.
